On Friday, June 16, 2017, in Kyiv, under the patronage of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Azerbaijan and Ukraine and in collaboration with the International Union of Businessmen of Ukraine and Turkey, an iftar dinner was organized and held ā an evening meal for Muslims during the strict fast in the month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, all practicing Muslims adhere to a strict fastārefraining from food, drink, smoking, and other activities during daylight hours. The fast begins at dawn (after the morning adhan) and ends with iftar, the evening meal, after sunset (after the evening adhan).
The evening was attended by staff from the embassies of Azerbaijan and Turkey in Ukraine, representatives of Muslim communities, businessmen, as well as other invited guests.
Events of this kind serve as a unifying link for Muslims in Ukraine. The evening positively impacted the strengthening of trilateral relations between Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Turkey, and influenced the expansion and development of business between the states.
