Azerbaijan Continues to Support Ukraine

On January 20, 2026, from the grounds of the Sumgait Technology Park and at the instruction of the leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan, another consignment of humanitarian supplies was dispatched on an urgent basis to support the restoration of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The shipment includes:

11 powerful generators and 5 transformers;
over 27,000 meters of cable and wiring;
29 low-voltage panels.

This assistance is of great importance for restoring Ukraine’s energy system and strengthening its energy security in the wake of damage to energy facilities.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev expressed gratitude to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, as well as to Azerbaijan’s leadership and people, for their steadfast support and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

According to Yuriy Husyev, this is yet another confirmation of the strategic partnership and strong friendship between the two countries, and of their readiness to support each other in difficult times and to work together toward a just peace.
