Azerbaijan Allocates $7.6 Million to Ukraine for Humanitarian Aid
The Azerbaijani government has allocated $7.6 million USD for the procurement and delivery of electrical equipment to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. This information is reported on report.az, citing a decree by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev.
President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant document, according to which $7.6 million from Azerbaijan's state budget for 2023, allocated to the presidential reserve fund, has been designated to the Ministry of Energy for the purchase and supply of electrical equipment to Ukraine. "The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has been instructed to ensure funding in accordance with this decree," the source states.
Additionally, a Memorial Wall for fallen Ukrainian defenders has been unveiled in Baku. So far, the names of 26 Azerbaijanis who have lost their lives in the war in Ukraine have been recorded.
