Offsite Meeting of the International Trade Club of Ukraine 'Partnership in Tourism' Held at the Kharkiv City Council

On May 19, an offsite meeting of the International Trade Club of Ukraine titled ā€œPartnership in Tourismā€ took place at the Kharkiv City Council. The event was attended by representatives of the ā€œUnion of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and Ukraine (ATU),ā€ members of the International Trade Club, city officials, members of the diplomatic corps, foreign companies, municipal and private enterprises from Kharkiv, as well as members of the Tourist Council under the Kharkiv Mayor.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of business tourism was signed by the Kharkiv City Council, the International Trade Club of Ukraine, and the state enterprise ā€œGeneral Directorate for Servicing Foreign Missions.ā€

Participants also exchanged views on the development of the tourism sector, specifically wine and film tourism, while domestic and foreign companies presented their achievements.

In his remarks, Secretary of the Kharkiv City Council Ihor Terekhov noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global influx of tourists has significantly decreased. As a result, major cities like Kharkiv are compelled to focus on business tourism, continuing to create favorable conditions for its growth.

ā€œWe are interested in making Kharkiv even more appealing and beneficial for all our partners, and I reaffirm our readiness for further constructive collaboration,ā€ Ihor Terekhov emphasized.
