On March 6, 2017, a meeting was held at the InterContinental Hotel in Kyiv between representatives of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Azerbaijan and Ukraine and the International Union of Businessmen of Ukraine and Turkey.
Present at the meeting were the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Azer Khudeev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yonet Jane Tezel, the head of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Azerbaijan and Ukraine Ali Aliyev, the head of the International Union of Businessmen of Ukraine and Turkey Burak Pehlivan, community members, business representatives, as well as other distinguished guests.
The agenda included discussions on mutually beneficial relations between the countries and unions, cooperation in business development both in Ukraine and in the Republic of Turkey and Azerbaijan.
As per the legacy of Heydar Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan from 1993 to 2003: "Azerbaijan and Turkey are two states ā one nation," therefore strengthening and developing relations between the brotherly countries is one of the strategic tasks being addressed, including in Ukraine.
During the event, the state ambassadors expressed gratitude for organizing such meetings, emphasizing the need to hold them more frequently, 2-3 times a year, while promising to provide assistance and support for the overall development of cooperation between the countries.
