Kyiv Boryspil Express Completes 1,000 Trips

The Kyiv Boryspil Express high-speed train has completed over 1,000 trips and transported 30,000 passengers, according to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company emphasized that the express service adheres to its schedule 99.6% of the time and plans further development of the project. In 2019, a stop at the Vydubychi station is planned, with the construction of a dedicated platform for this purpose. This will connect the metro with the express train and Boryspil Airport.

Currently, 27 pairs of trains operate daily on the Kyiv–Boryspil Airport route. This number will be adjusted based on passenger demand.

Earlier, it was reported that the express runs 24/7. However, during its first month of operation, Ukrzaliznytsia adjusted the train’s schedule, reducing the number of nighttime trips.

On October 25, during a trial trip, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan inspected the completion of the construction. They expressed their satisfaction with the service.
